PH to Set Up "Foreign Aid Transparency Hub, "Why?"

If you can recall, Philippines had ranked recently 105 over 176 according Transparency International Corruption Perception Price Index last 2012. However, Global Corruption Barometer 2013 included the Philippines which is involved in paying bribes based on respondents in various places.

Now with the pouring aid of International countries and United Nation because of Super Typhoon Yolanda, the Philippines had been receiving millions of dollars donation. The Aquino Administration decided to set up a web site called "Foreign Aid Transparency Hub" to track down the usage of funds donated by foreign countries. I think, this is a positive move of the government to curve corruption in the country.

However, the website became inaccessible after few days and when you are trying to view the full report, it says error from the host website even though your web browser is working properly.

Apart from foreign aid, a number of restaurants and establishments such as YABU, CHILIS, ANC, FASHION EASY BAZAAR, UNICEF. RED CROSS provided support and gave monetary donations to the victims.

Even if thousands and millions of dollars had been donated, the Philippine government is in its custody to make proper use of funds so it can be directly received by the victims and appropriate recipients.
