Type B meningitis is an uncommon disease cause by a certain rare bacteria. It includes symptoms like headache, vomiting, fever, and rashes. It can also lead serious complications such as brain damage, hearing loss and even limb amputation.
Accordingly, meningitis B can be transferred from one person to another through personal contact like exchange of saliva, kissing, coughing, and sharing of drinks.
The story started when a student returned to the school after spring break who had been discovered to be infected with meningitis B. Few days later, 6 other students were also reported to be infected by the said illness.
